Tried watching Fringe on Netflix recently. Made it partway through the second episode and stopped. Theres a mad scientist. He is endlessly entertaining to me. The premise of the show is about mad science. That should help, but its really a cop show. And theres just something about the writing. I can only presume is the hand of JJ Abrams showing itself. The slow also has one profoundly annoying cinematic habit. They like to render big 3d labels into scenes at various points. By itself this would just be cheesy. But when the camera goes out of its way to show you that the letters exist inside the scene, sometimes even sailing through one, then it gets annoying. I think Im done with Fringe. Wondering what others think whove seen it.
