Triko............. Dobil sem, in moram deliti... :) Last night, 16 Jan, I had the distinct pleasure of viewing a production at the Academy of Theatre, Radion Film and Television. (AGRFT) The production was called ˝Triko˝! I can only begin by really congratulating them all on a really superb performance. It was most refreshing to watch a production that is, firstly, not solely dependant on props and special effects. The stage being quite empty, with the occational use of some small props, made a huge impact in the sense that one could actually enjoy the performers, their real talent and expression on stage, and their ability to allow us to actually delve into the imaginative part of our minds, and make our own vision of how we see this production. No fancy costumes, no clutter of an over full stage. In fact, we could watch real acting. We could absorb the text and the story line. Though few would or might admit, however, much of their performance touches us in our lives, and daily behaviour. This I found scary, and yet, totally amazing. The fact that the play was able to touch our souls deep within, and get our minds thinking, whether out of guilt, fear, or simple bliss, was really awesome. Not often, in our fast and impersonal lifestyles, do we come accross such a powerful impact. I also really enjoyed the fact that this production touched and played on all our emotions… laughter, sadness, anxiety, loneliness etc… A very well balanced and most entertaining evening. So, a really hearty congratulations to the entire group for an exceptional performance. You have set a new bar, a new standard of excellence that will be very hard to reach or improve, by the next generation. I am very eager to watch your next performance, and am convinced that you will set an even higher standard. What a night, what a show, …………………………….. Well done and congratulations. Phantom
