Trip to the Art Gallery and seeing Emily Carrs work again is so wonderful. Leaves me so over awed to see her work from her beginning until she passed away . The growth and evolving that took place. Her very own style unique to her alone such beauty. A parallel on life. Starting Rejection. Starting again after many years and developing into her own brushstrokes. Colour and shades of paint. Always true to herself. She wrote books as well over the years. The name she chose for herself was my maiden name. Small. Everything I have recently read about the nature of the artist is her. People come from around the world to see her paintings. I could look at them from as close as I could get without touching. I am so fortunate to have been given this gift. To see and be so inspired. To live where I do. To dabble in all my creativity from within me as I feel. Colours. Shapes. Textures. Mine to do as I feel and want. I can stand tall as I walk with dignity Honesty. Integrity. Value. These are mine Soon free from a tremendous challenge put on me by others. I am strong and I will succeed. With the help of my special friends. I might falter and stumble but I move forward. Always. Always.
