Troop L - Troopers from Long Island will be participating in a childrens event this weekend at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove. WBAB/BLI TOUCH-A-TRUCK Event Details: Date: Saturday, November 1, 2014 Rain date: Sunday, November 2, 2014 Location: Smith Haven Mall - Jericho Turnpike, Lake Grove, NY Time: Open to the Public from 10am-3pm Admission: Admission to Touch-A-Truck is Free. Families will be encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for donation to “Island Harvest” at the entrance to the event. Services: Child seat technicians will be on hand to check child car seats and to educate parents and guardians on the safety of children in and around motor vehicles. Activities: In addition to vehicles, the event will feature moon bounces, video game truck, photos in the Vanity Photo Booth and other activities for kids and their families. Charity: At the main entrance, donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted for Island Harvest, the largest hunger relief organization on Long Island.
