Tropical Depression Caloy has weakened into a Tropical Disturbance (LPA). As of 11:00am March 23, 2014 - 0300Z, the center of the Low Pressure Area (previously Caloy) has estimated based on our latest satellite products and surface analysis at 8.77n, 124.10e or approximately 730 kilometers south-southeast of #Rizal, Philippines moving towards west slowly within the past 6 hours satellite monitoring. Observations from the latest satellite imagery revealed a disorganizing circulation around the Low Level Circulation Center (LLCC) of the system after hitting Mt. Canlaon while passing over Negros provinces yesterday night. Its lose band of clouds are now bringing light to moderate to a times of a heavy downpour along areas of #Panay, #Capiz, #Aklan, #Antique, #Negros provinces, #Cebu, #Bohol while partly cloudy to cloudy skies over parts of MIMAROPA, #Bicol and Southern Tagalog region including Metro #Manila. This system is expected to remain weak while passing #Palawan within the next 24 hours and then dissipate as it encounter strong vertical windshear region (upper level winds) over the west Philippine Sea. Meanwhile the clumps of clouds just east of the Philippines are not gaining any circulation as reported by US Guam Weather Station.
