Tropical Storm Sinlaku (21W) has passed through the Philippine Islands and is now bringing heavy rains, rough ocean conditions, and gusty winds towards the east coast of Vietnam. Traveling across the South China Sea, Sinlaku is approximately 457 NM east of Ho Chi Minh City. Tropical cyclone 02S has spun-up in the South Indian Ocean, approximately 430 NM southeast of St. Denis. Winds will still be near tropical storm strength as 02S moves close to, or over Mauritius Island, bringing gusty winds, rough seas, and heavy rains. La Reunion Island is expected be far enough to the west to miss most of the gusty winds, although some rough surf and rainy conditions may occur.
