Tropical Update Strong tropical wave centered about 1150 miles - TopicsExpress

Tropical Update Strong tropical wave centered about 1150 miles East Southeast of the Windward Islands moving west at 25mph. This system has a 60% chance of becoming a named storm. The next name on the list will be Chantal. Bermuda High will continue to be center across the Central Atlantic. Any systems that develops has to go around the ridge. The computer models are now getting a good sense of what future Chantal could track. One image shows just that. We believe a southern track into the Gulf is unlikely because of the ridge. A few models shows an upper level low developing across the Gulf Of Mexico making future Chantal to track north. While its unclear how strong or what track the best thing to do is get your supplies now. Especially along the East Coast from Florida to Maryland. We believe this year will be the year for the Carolinas to see multiple tropical systems. NC/SC has already had a visit from TS Andrea back in June. Its only July and have 5 more months of the hurricane season.
