Tropical moisture has reached as far north as the Kern County Mountains. Some cloudiness is also reaching the San Joaquin Valley. Even through the deepest tropical moisture remains to our east thunderstorms are likely to form over the Kern County mountains and the Sierra Nevada as far north possibly as Yosemite. There will be a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms each day through Friday mainly near the foothills in the extreme south and along the Sierra Nevada foothills.
