Truck says Low tire pressure.... Ok Ill get it checked when home..... HAHAHAHA! FLAT! I 696 1/2 from 275. Took me 10 mins to get up enough courage to open drivers door and inch along my truck as visions of all the patients I have seen with multiple fractures and deaths of loved ones for getting out for flat tire. And the cars speed by. I sat reading my manual wondering if I should keep my truck in drive in case someone texting or other went into the side of the road and hit me. I must be getting too darn old! After 1.5 hours of reading the manual, emptying the back of baby diapers and formula to find the jack only to think I dont have a jack only to read the manual to find I do. And back to pulling out all donations to do the right twists and bumps and pulls to get the beautiful jack. Pull it out and work the next 40 mins on where that guide thing is to lower the tire and do you go straight in or an angle to finally finding it through an angle to lower tire to the ground and by God--I was not losing that connection. Lowered the tire to find that I had to sit and pull with all I had in the pouring rain to get the tire out from under the truck. Oh forgot to mention the I spent 7 nonstop hours cleaning basement, freezer and antique table with major poop/sewage all over with 2 others. Was heading home seriously pooped as 3 basements were finished yesterday and 1 major one today. And as I am pulling the tire out from under the truck with all my might on my butt using my arms and legs in a mad struggle of strength between that huge tire and me and probably my wet dirty shorts were riding down my old butt crack for the whole of I 696 work traffic to see, I hear a sound of someone stopping and a so welcome voice saying--you have a flat? Duh! MDOT here. We fix for free in emergencies like being on the side of 696 at junction 275 with vehicles whizzing by at 80 mph. You just relax and Ill do the rest! Mark and MDOT---Im in love!
