Trucksville Volunteer EMS, Fire & Rescue Association Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Fire, Rescue and EMS Services: We are writing you today about Brother Fire Chief Harry Sweppenheiser III. Harry was recently involved in a terrible vehicle crash on Monday July 22, 2013. Harry is still in the hospital ICU at GWV recovering from injuries and so far it has been determined that Harry may not walk again. We are sounding the alarm for support for Harry and his family. Harry has been a volunteer firefighter for 20+ years. Having served with Trucksville Volunteer Fire Department and is currently the Fire Chief of Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company, Harry is now in need of support from his brothers and sisters of the back mountain region. There is no way to count how many times Harry has responded to the emergencies of strangers. Day or night Harry has been there in the front lines, and has responded to assist his fellow brothers and sisters. The time is now to answer and respond for Harry. We are asking all of our brothers and sisters to contribute to the "Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company Support and Recovery Fund for Harry Sweppenheiser III". This fund has been established at First Liberty Bank. Donations can be made at the Trucksville, Noxen, or Tunkhannock branches. We are also asking for pledges from the Back Mountain Fire, Rescue and EMS Departments. We are asking that department pledges be brought to the Back Mountain Regional Volunteer Firefighters Association meeting on August 14th,2013 at the Trucksville Vol. EMS, Fire & Rescue Association fire station at 11 Carverton Road. We would like to gather together all donations from every department as a show of support for Harry to let him know that all he has done has not gone unnoticed. The donations will be tallied with a promotional photo planned in a newspaper to continue to advertise the fund and encourage donations. Our hopes are for the departments to rally $10,000.00 for Harry and his family. Please find it in your hearts to not only donate individually, but rally your department to answer the call for Harry. Sincerely, Back Mountain Regional Volunteer Firefighters Association
