True Joy Only Comes From God Philippians 4:10-13 NASB But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity. Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Sometimes we get discouraged. Sometimes we get down. It is only natural. When we do, we start questioning everything. True joy only comes from God and what Jesus did for us on the cross. Without it, we would all be doomed to hell. Joy from anywhere else can never last. It soon fades and we feel empty again but when we are filled with the joy of the Lord, it should never fade. If you are feeling down maybe it is time to take a look at where our joy is coming from. Rejoice in the fact that you dont have to end up in hell because you have been forgiven. When we stand before God, he wont see us but will see the spotless Lamb that He has provided for us.
