True Scholars are always subjected to persecutions. Even in the - TopicsExpress

True Scholars are always subjected to persecutions. Even in the golden Islamic eras, muslim scholars were beaten, tortured and even killed by the tyrant muslim rulers. Nothing new, nothing to be overly concerned with. When Imam Ahmad was being taken to the jail and he knew he was going to be whipped mercilessly, he was scared to death (part of his truthfulness is that he mentioned later that he was afraid, in other words if he had FB in his time, he wouldnt rush to post some glory status). But Allah made him meet people in his way to the jail who would console and strengthen him. One such man said to him: O Ahmad! you will only feel the first one/two lashings! Meaning after the first couple of whips the body would get numb enough to withstand the next whips. This made Imam Ahmad strong and he could gather enough mental strength to face the fitnah awaiting him. We should not be surprised that muslims scholars are being banned while lewd celebrities are being invited. This should only increase us in faith and resolve. Rather than showing despair we should keep the dawah flowing. From time of our father Adam (alaihis-salam), it has been the sunnah of Allah azza wa jall that the messengers have always eventually perished but the message continued. So little is to be had in discussing why the messengers are being banned when we can still continue conveying the message itself. Its a stupidity in asking why the satan is so efficient in his plot when we know very well he has no other choice. Imam Ahmad was asked by his son: Father, when will we see some respite? Imam replied: When we put our first step in Jannah.
