True Story: Driving a rental car down Central one night, I was on my way home to my apartment. I lived alone and there were reports of break-ins in my complex. I was afraid to go home. So yeah, I stopped a pair of cops and asked for them to escort me home. (naive) on my part.....When we get to my complex one of them decides that I am drinking because I was swerving (remember the rental car I was driving) She decides to give me a sobriety test and basically harass me. Never mind that I explained that I was driving a rental and wasnt used to driving it since my own car was in the shop. Never mind that I stopped them, thinking ( naively) that they would help me get home safely by escorting me. The other copped apologized to me realizing that his partner was overzealous and quite frankly on a power trip. To this day, I trust no cops especially now. This was many years ago and Im afraid its gotten worse if thats possible.
