True story..I grew up eastridge and lived there from the early 70s till 1997 when I moved to california. My parents still live in eastridge. A couple days ago I was at the dog park out here in socal talking to an elderly gentlemen. He saw my nebraska hat and commented that he lived in nebraska 30 years from 1963 to 1994. I asked what city and he said lincoln. Wow, I thought then I asked what part of lincoln. I about fell out of my chair when he said eastridge. He bought his house brand new on meadowbrook for $18000 in the early 60s. His last name is byrd and he spent some time teaching at eastridge school with mrs. Broz. He went to eastridge presbyterian. He son hit golf balls in the pius field and sled the hill by clark jerry. He square danced at the unitarian church. One summer he headed the board for eastridge pool. I grew up less then a quarter mile from this guy and now we meet 30 years later 1500 miles away
