True story. In my opinion, thats the reason why singapore football will never improve. There are many talented footballers here in Singapore, but alot of them decide not to pursue it due to the instability of salary, club management and fitness test. Why implement a fitness test in order to play, when each and every person have their own fitness levels. Thats the job of the club to ensure their players are deem fit. And if they are not fit, its the club duty to train and improve the players fitness. Youths stray away from football as Prime league clubs are only paying an average of $300 a month but train almost everyday. Now when you work outside as a part-timer, you can earn more than $300. FAS should be run by someone who has played at the highest level, and not by someone who doesnt even play AMATUER football what more professional football. I want to see our football improve, not stagnant. I call myself a Singaporean but i watch more Malaysian league than Sleague, not because lionsxii are participating, but to follow JDT. The management, the facilities, the fans of JDT, is simply amazing. I wish to see that in our Sleague. We can be the kingpins of south east asian football, but when we face the rest of Asia, we are nothing. Just a piece of my mind.
