Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, - TopicsExpress

Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”—because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.” Mark 3:28-30 (NASB) Jesus answered their accusation of Him being from Satan by replying to them about blaspheming the Holy Spirit. He was point out that His power was really the power of the Holy Spirit which meant they were committing blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Here Christ in His definition of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit was the deliberately and knowingly attributing the works of the Holy Spirit to the devil. All sins are forgivable, except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Their speaking such evil things, He said was a proof that their hearts were evil. Matthew 12:34: You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart.” What comes from our hearts indicates who we are with Christ or Satan. We must allow the Holy Spirit to fill us with a new attitude and motive. We must cleanse ourselves from the source. Jesus teaches that we must be indwelt by the Spirit of the Lord rather than merely being vacated by an unclean spirit. Positive holiness is necessary rather than a mere negative experience. If a heart which is vacated by an evil spirit by the power of God is not immediately filled by the Holy Spirit, there is grave danger of a relapse into evil wherein the last state is worse than the first.
