Try to think of this following statement as one of Rick Mercers rant. So I was at the TigerCat game today, amazing game with some incredible runs! When a drunk guy 2 seats down from me, stands up and deliberately crosses over the isle to start fighting with the guy in the other section. A bunch of other drunken fans jump in to break them up with no luck. At that point a lone Police Officer charges down and also tries to break up the fight, and just like a high school brawl a crowd forms around so it is hard to see. At one point the policeman ends up trying to wrestle with these drunken fans I believe to try to handcuff the aggressor and a guy standing beside me starts yelling police brutality? Police brutality ...are you kidding? One cop 14 drunk guys?? Luckily the ratios change and another 5 or so officers arrive. Then the guy beside me starts say that it is the stadiums fault for not serving enough food? Whose fault is it? The initial aggressor was sooo drunk he had trouble walking. How or why it is necessary to get that drunk at a football game is beyond me? Its not the stadiums fault! Police brutality? No! Spend a day in their shoes, trying to break up a drunken brawl in the stands of a stadium. That lone officer is likely pretty bruised up where as the drunk probably cant even remember what happened. I salute the Hamilton Police for getting things under control quickly so that we could watch a fantastic football game!
