Trying to keep my Status up to date... Time for me to get serious for just a moment then I will get back to my usual shenanigans... I will be going into the hospital on October 29 for some pretty invasive surgery at 6:30 the next morning. As a lot of you know, I was paralyzed from the chest down almost 20 years ago as a result of a really bad wreck on my GSXR750 motorcycle. Due to complications arising from several bouts of Skin Breakdown over the years and losing a long battle with bone infections, I lost my entire left leg from the hip joint down about 6 years ago. Well, now I will be losing my entire RIGHT leg from the hip joint down as well. I ask that you all keep me in your thoughts at the end of this month and into the first couple of weeks of November. The surgery is very high risk, but necessary. After I recover, I will be able to get around much easier and get out in the fresh air to do what I love most, flying my RC Airplanes, Helicopters and Multi-Rotors. I will be moving from a manual push wheelchair to an electric wheelchair and I hope to get an "off road" or "ATV" model. I spend a lot of time in the grass and gravel at RC Airfields. I also have a job waiting for me within the RC Aircraft Industry that justifies the need for a more rugged chair. Wish me luck on that as well please. Like I said, the procedure of removing my entire leg is very high risk, but it is worth it. My current state of being has GOT to change. I am only 44 years old and need to stop "just being alive" and get back to "living a life". That is all. We now return to the beer, boobs and bacon already in progress :-)
