Trying to make sense of the tragic suicide of a 12 year old boy who was a friend of my daughters. And Ive come to the conclusion that it will never make sense to me. I will never understand why we, as humans, are so mean to each other. Why we cant accept each others differences and treat one another with respect and kindness. There needs to be change, and it can start with each of us in our very own homes. Lets teach our children acceptance and how to love ALL others, even if they arent like them. Lets teach them how to behave on social media and monitor them on it. And most of all lets take this opportunity to build up our kids and remind them how precious they are. Thanks for letting me vent for a minute. Im definitely not saying Im an authority on this at all. Im reeling like everyone else. But Im sickened by the bullying that continues to happen and I know it needs to stop. I cant stop other kids from doing it but I will do all I can to make sure my kids dont.
