Tucking Pearson (2.5 years old) in bed tonight he asked me to lay one of his blankets on the bed under him and one on top of him to cover him up with. These are two of the many beautiful blankets my mom made for her grandchildren and many other babies in the family. As I was covering him up with the second blanket I whispered to him, Mimommy would be so proud! He poked his lip out, as only a Pearson can do, and started crying! I scooped him up and headed to the rocking chair. I could tell he was truly sad. I asked him what was wrong and he said, Mimommy. I said, Are you said because you miss Mimommy? And then he just started bawling!!! I lost it! How do you even begin to have this conversation with a two year old??? All I new to say was, Do you know where Mimommy is? He nodded and said in his precious voice, Heaben! I was speechless! I know we talk about it as a family, but how do you say to a 2 year old yes she is in heaven and one day (maybe 90+ years) you will see her again??? It broke my heart!!!
