Tucson holds an annual raffle to benefit Tucson Medical Center. I bought a 3-ticket package. No prize is worth less than $100, and it ranges all the way up to the Grand Prizes. Grand Prize #1 is a custom home that will be built for you, plus a luxury sedan. Or you can opt for cash instead of the house ($655,000) and the car. Grand Prize #2 is a new Tesla S car, worth $150K, or the cash equivalent. At dinner last night I said that if I won the Tesla Id take the cash instead, because thered be no room for a dog crate. Tom and Linda wondered how many people would turn down a Tesla on that basis. 8-) Id also take the cash instead of the house, because Im certain that at all of the housing developments where the house may be built--winners choice--thered be a Home Owners Association that would have a problem with dogs. So Id take the money, buy a house on property that suits me, and invest the rest. Dog people. Our priorities are just different!
