Tues 2Dec14 Afternoon all and yay, the sun is SHINING! I received four cartons of a new supplier’s products today and they will be listed below. Beautiful clear jellies and preserves – they shine like jewels! Bannockburn apricot chutney Beetroot horseradish Clyde walnuts Blackcurrant confit Blackcurrant jelly with Kirsch Cherry Cointreau Conserve Figs in Balsamic with Herbes de Provence Gooseberry jam Herb & apple jelly with either mint or rosemary or thyme Horseradish mustard with Vermouth Pickled Lemon slices Piquant cherries with Kirsch Plum Port and smoked Clyde walnuts Quince cranberry Orange marmalade Quince Redcurrant relish Quince Rose Quiddany – clear rose coloured sloppy jelly, lovely colour Ruby rich plum sauce Biscotti – 3 flavours – almond coffee, orange cardamom and gingerbread spice Christmas is ramping up – if you would like gift baskets done on the spot, then the sooner the better. When it’s busy, there may be a wait as it normally takes me about ½ hour to put one together and titivate! Same for platters – can’t be last minute – you need to tell me with a day or two’s notice or I might not be able to oblige. If you wish to give a platter as a gift, please be aware it will need to be kept in a fridge and you will need to supply whatever it is to go on unless I have prior notice and can get out to purchase one for you although I am looking for cheaper options of gift platter bases to stock in the shop, as I type! Havoc Hams are due in next Thursday 11 Dec and I will be ringing or emailing you on Monday to remind you (unless you have expressed the desire to have it stored – then I won’t bother you). Turkeys are due in later this week but you can pick them up at any time before Xmas. I had 6 jars of Rum and Limoncello Babas but 4 have now gone – only 2 left and both are Rum. A decadent, luxurious and fantastic gift for Xmas or for yourselves after dinner. New rolls of cheesepaper back in - $1 per roll. The Spanish Chocolate Figs were due into the country last weekend so I hope to have my mitts on them SOON!
