Tuesday, 14th October. BE A HIGH QUALITY WORKER. And the keeper of the prison committed to Josephs hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it. The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the Lord was with him, and that which he did, the Lord made it to prosper. (Genesis 39:22-23 KJV) It is so sad the the world, particularly Nigeria lacks high quality citizens. Citizens that can so work at their jobs without any need for supervision whatsoever. The processes involved in employments have become so gruesome and very cumbersome these days, all in a bid to select very high quality employees. Let it be known to anyone who cares to know, that there are no scarcity of jobs as such, rather there is a scarcity of high quality people for available jobs. In developed countrys machines have had to replace humans in search for jobs. Why? Because a machine will do everything you program it to do, in your presence and in your absence. The reason is simple; people have to employ someone to do a job and then employ another person to supervise the person that was employed to do the job. And then a much higher supervisor is employed to supervise the supervisor who supervises the person who was employed to do the job. And at the end of the day much money is spent beyond necessary just to get a job done. Let it be known that the greatest quality of a high quality staff, employee or worker is their ability to work without supervision. They double and the worker and supervisor. High quality workers are self supervised, and they have very high productivity rate on the job. Their performance levels are usually next to none. And such was Joseph. Whole he worked for his father as an unofficial supervisor over his brethren, his father could ho to sleep knowing that nothing could go wrong. In Potiphers house he was absolutely in charge without anything missing. And according to our text, he became the senior most man in prison, supervising the supervisors, and doing the work as well. And lastly he became the prime minister of the most powerful nation in his time. Seest thou a man who is diligent in his business, he shall before kings and not before mean men (Proverbs 22:29 ). Joseph was a very high quality worker because he would work as though he owned the work, he worked as though he was working for himself. Do you work like that, or you are on of those who needs plenty of supervisors and supervision? Assignment. i. Decide to be a high quality person today. ii. Give your best at work whether you are being watched or not. iii. Make yourself indispensable by your high level output at work. Prayer. -Lord please make me a high quality worker and in everything I undertake in Jesus Name. -Lord take away anything and everything that lowers my quality in Jesus Name.
