Tuesday 4th June BLOGGLE: In the 5-a-side Leagues: CFC managed to gain ground on the current leaders of the Premier League tonight as they managed to beat Whitemoor 9-7 in a very evenly contested fixture. Elsewhere at the foot of the table AFC Arnold managed to pick up their first 3 points of the season as they managed to beat new team County College 21-8. The County lads are going to have to adapt quickly to the pace of the Prem if they want to survive but a great effort in general from all involved in this game. Foster’s picked up three points from their game tonight as they managed to beat Wizard’s Sleeves 16-9. The final game in the 5 a side Premier League saw Dynamo FC beat Italian Connection 15-7. The Lost Boys V Rushden fixture is now scheduled for next week. It was match day 2 in the Tuesday Sixes Premier League tonight: The Hamburglars take an early (joint) lead at the top of the tree as their 100% assault on the table continued. They brushed aside Croft Cheese Slices in what has been called the fast food derby of the season so far. The score was 17-0 and gave a huge boost to their goal difference. Warren FC picked up their first victory of the season as they beat Caythorpe 4-3. Alpine Scrap also have a 100% record after week 2 as they managed to beat Canning Circus 8-4. Passenger’s took on CEMA tonight in their fixture. Last seasons Champs were beaten 8-5. Is this the return to form for CEMA?! A team who dominated the 5-a-side world have since struggled to find the same consistency in the Sixes. Makes for an interesting season if it is! The final game of the night saw Riverbank take on Valley FC. Riverbank managed to win the game with the score finishing 9-3. Great night up on the Sixes and this season promises to go to the wire.
