Tuesday, I got to spend a few hours with my wonderful nephew, Mike Oskins and his sweet little family. Tuesday was incredibly special and it was hard to leave those 3 special folks when it was time to go home. Wednesday, I was blessed to spend a few hours with friends over a movie and a communtiy salad and shared pizza--and I left that evening feeling like I have some of the best friends around. Thursday night brought a terrific and unexpected dinner with some of the best friends on this earth--thank you Deb Miller and Jon Mason for breaking bread at our table and making our Thursday evening memorable. Today, I got to spend the middle of my day with my wonderful and sweet niece, Maggie Bergey, hanging out on the couch and drinking coffee over small talk and the simple pleasure of being in her company. Thank you Mags--I always hate to see you go. :-) Tomorrow or the next day, I am supposed to get to spend a bit of sister time with MBerg Trish and get caught up on all the news of her new job and such...I am so looking forward to the giggles and the stories. I have missed them in recent weeks--It has been a stellar week of family and friends--most of you are both or feel like both anyway. The thing is, none of it cost me money (I dont have any anyway these days) and yet--over the course of the last week, I have been reminded that the best things that we have in this life are the things we share with others because of love and respect and friendship. Money isnt a prerequisite for spending quality time if you are fortunate enough to be surrounded by people who love you without it. As this week closes, I am feeling wonderfully blessed and included--thank you each and every one of you for making my little existence so special and part of yours. I love you all.
