Tuesday, May 6, 2014 New Orleans, LA - Holy Cross School is pleased to announce the appointment of Belinda D. Baker as Director of the new Holy Cross Primary School. Baker has been an educator in Catholic schools since 1981. She is dedicated to helping children develop a holistic education. Baker has a talent for developing innovative educational experiences that reflect student’s diverse interests. She has the ability to incorporate technology, group work, projects and other educational elements which provide an interactive and well-balanced academic experience for students. Holy Cross School is excited to have a compassionate, collaborative leader who strives to foster strong, working relationships with all members of the school community. As Primary School Director, she will serve as the administrative and academic leader of the Primary School. Baker will be responsible for promoting the Holy Cross School mission and vision by providing instructional leadership inclusive of curriculum implementation and relevant professional development. Other responsibilities include ensuring the well-being of students and staff by providing a safe, pleasant, and age-appropriate educational atmosphere through the effective implementation of school policies.
