Tuesday Morning Prayer: Heavenly Father, my prayer today is for each of us to practice the daily disciplines that enable health, happiness and joy in life. After being gone for two weeks, I came home to a yard that was badly in need of mowing and today it was done. But as I mowed, I thought about the fact that neglected things only get worse with time. Lord, it seems to be a rule of life that if we neglect something, it deteriorates and becomes more complicated and expensive to repair if it can be repaired at all. And then, Lord, I think about the question of the writer of Hebrews when he asked, How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation? Help us, Lord, to not put off until tomorrow what we can do today, especially the things that involve our eternal soul. In Jesus Name, AMEN.
