Tuesday Night’s Forgotten Song of the 80s -- Call It Love by Poco, from 1989. This country-rock outfit boasted such heavy hitters as Richie Furay (formerly of Buffalo Springfield), Jim Messina (later in Loggins & Messina), Randy Meisner and Timothy B. Schmit (both future members of the Eagles) -- all of whom were long gone by the time the band released its best-known song, the 1979 hit Crazy Love. A decade later Furay, Messina, and Meisner reunited with other original Poco members to record the album Legacy (and broke up again soon afterward). This was the first single from the album and peaked at #18. The video downplays the band in order to spotlight attractive people on a warm day. Sweatiness ensues.
