Tuesday Night’s Forgotten Song of the 80s (Michael Jackson - TopicsExpress

Tuesday Night’s Forgotten Song of the 80s (Michael Jackson Memorial Edition) -- Torture by The Jacksons, from 1984. Hard to believe, but tomorrow marks the fifth anniversary of The King of Pops passing. At the peak of his commercial popularity, Michael agreed to reteam with his brothers for the Victory album and tour... both of which proved artistic and financial disappointments. Michael and big brother Jermaine shared lead vocals on this tune about the break-up of a relationship, which turned to be the last Top 40 single from the group, peaking at #17. The video features the entire group, except for Jermaine. Oh, and Michael, although he is represented by a wax replica and a skeleton (insert tasteless jokes here). Paula Abdul, then a Laker Girl (and Jackie Jacksons girlfriend) served as choreographer.
