Tuesday PM/ Wednesday AM Most of Tuesday he rested and got some much needed sleep... He was bummed out because he didnt pass his swallow test and is back on nothing by mouth... And he is so thirsty... Jims Mom Joanne had a great talk with him Tuesday Mid-day before she headed back to Three Rivers. Ryan and I decided I better stay behind so that I could help Jim be fully awake for the Wednesday Morning Visual Swallow Test and hopefully a positive X-ray Swallow Test so he can drink and eat again. Wednesday AM- He passed his Visual Swallow Test but then Jim coughed as she was about to leave his room... But they did order a X-ray Swallow Test @ 2 PM today just to be sure nothing is getting into his lungs and that he is good to go forward! Jim is tired this morning but is communicating more clearly and more like his old self. His left arm felt itching so I watched him as he scratched it for the first time since the stroke, with his good right hand!!! The large clot in Jims lung is being treated by medicine, the goal is to stop other clots from joining the party and to get it to dissolve and allow more oxygen into his lungs. He is breathing so much better! Right at this moment: Clot trumps Stroke... So Jims big heart doesnt have to work so hard against this clot. Thank you for all the prayers being said for this big sweet guy, I am so thankful for the watchful eyes on him... Including The Divine One... Praise of Jims Recovery all goes to Him. Thank you for being His messenger on earth!
