Tuesday evening September 17th, around 5:30 @ the Scottsbluff/Gering Volleyball Game players from 40 years of Gering Volleyball will gather to be honored and celebrated! We will take the floor between the JV and Varsity games (approx. 6:00). First of all, players from 1973 to 2013 will group on the floor, (2) families who played Gering volleyball, (3) mother/daughter(s) players will be recognized, (4) Pat (Schommer) Weinhold and Craig Schadwinkel will be honored for being the only two head coaches of the program of forty years, (5) JV Coaches and other coaches who have coached in the program over the years will be acknowledged, (6) and the 1985 State Champion Team and the year Deana graduated (they got 4th in state in 1988 or 1989) will be recognized and honored as well. None of the players or coaches except Pat and Craig will be individually announced as it would take too long. Pass this (via Facebook, word of mouth, phone call, or however) on to your family and anyone else you know that has played or coached for Gering.
