Tuesday we laid Pop to rest. The most beautiful group gathered. Having the OFR honor guard (some of the guys Jimmy and I worked with) all knew Pop, gave last call for their brother was a true blessing and honor. Listening to the Masons give thanks to their brother was beautiful. My wonderful husband in Class A for his brother, friend and our Pop. And my brother in law, a former firefighter and now the pastor of our church gave us Gods word in sermon as he felt the tragic loss of a Pop, friend and brother. I have been a part of this family most of my life. Pop and Maam knew they were my parents. I tried to make sure they knew I knew what they had given to me. But I could never repay the debt I owe for them making me the person I am today. I could never thank the family enough for sharing, teaching and giving so much to us. I just hope they all know how much I forever love them.
