Tuesday’s Torch 09/17/13 By: Tim Sader Ephesians 4:13 Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Body Builders is for every believer so we can know our part and grow up in it so together we can build the Body. By picking up where Beabled Ministry left off all members are on equal ground so we can grow our gifts together. These two ministries go hand in hand some gifts may be found as we are Beabled and it will continue to grow in Body Builders. To start we must define our role by answering the question; what part are you? Some of us cannot answer this or don’t even know the parts they can be. Whether or not we know our gift each of us is gifted in some way for ministry in the Body. Spiritual gifts are our function in the Body. Every time we read of gifts we are called parts of the body. A body has the goal to stay alive and we do our function to keep Christ alive so the world can know Him and join us. By doing our part to build ourselves in Him we do what we were created for. God has prepared us for certain works of service in the Body so we can be built into the unity of Christ. The Bible clearly lists twenty gifts in scripture they are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. We can have gifts of administration, compassion, discernment, exhortation, faith, giving, healing, helping, tongues and interpretation of tongues, knowledge, leadership, miracles, wisdom and serving. We may have other talents and skills the Holy Spirit will have us use to build the body God created us to be part of. This ministry helps believers reach out for unity in faith and the knowledge of Christ. Body Builders helps us grow up into maturity in our faith. As we continue growing we will come to our whole measure in the fullness of Christ. To assist in finding what part we are Body Builders will help by providing a spiritual profile and a spiritual gifts test. It would be wrong to think we are something and find out later we have been deceived. We should test ourselves to find out what we are and then we can take pride in our gift. If each of us carries our own load we will not worry about comparing ourselves to others or trying to be them (Galatians 6:3-5). Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit this test will help find our range of spiritual gifts. This test will begin helping us build an online spiritual profile. Like other sites users would have to register to take the spiritual gifts test. After taking the test and reading the results optional information will be requested. Also additional essay questions will be asked so users can get to know each other. After registration and the test users will be able to answer; what part are you? We are reminded to follow love and earnestly desire spiritual gifts especially to prophesy (1 Corinthians 14:1). Spiritual gifts are not so much for us as they are for us to connect with the Body. We should be eager to receive these gifts and excel in gifts that will help build the church (1 Corinthians 14:12). We build the body and come to fullness through love and seeking gifts that build us up together. These profiles will help users connect with others in ways they maybe never could before knowing their gift. We are told to make disciples of nations and this is done by us realizing our gift so the fullness of Christ can come (Matthew 28:19). The love that surpasses understanding is key in us coming to our measure in the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19). We must also mature in our gifts to attain that fullness in Christ.
