Tuff day today at work - very sweet woman came to the office she had lost a 4 year old son in 1975, son had been buried in our baby cemetery and her husband had not allowed her to spend the money for a stone for the grave two years ago she lost her 21 year old son had him cremated and spread some of his ashes in each of the states that he had been a chef in and she wanted to place the remainder of the ashes with his brother - she had been told that she could not do this as the baby cemetery belonged to the city - I told her I would take care of - so asked my boss if we could make an exception if it was in the older area - I went out to check on it and the woman was sitting next to the grave having her lunch and planting flowers - I saw that she had tears running down her face and I told her not to worry - we would allow her to place the ashes there - it would not be a problem - she smiled at me - we talked for awhile about other things but when I left she was smiling - whew - it was heart wrenching to say the least
