Tuned in and out of the Beatles anniversary special, and cant figure out why everything has to be some damned glitzy. As usual, the writing on these things was horrible. Did Kate Beckinsale (and what the hell was she doing there?) really say the Beatles have always brought everybody together? Thats not the way I remember the 60s. As for the music, well, Adam Levine loves the Beatles enough to know he was doing a good karaoke act, but much of what I saw was mediocre to abominable. Stevie Wonder was good, of course, but for me, the only performance that really came close to capturing the spirit of digging into the music was the one by John Legend and Alicia Keys of Let It Be.
