Tunisia’s Ennahda Islamist party accepts defeat in Parliamentary election Tunisia’s leading Islamist party has accepted defeat in Sunday’s election, a senior Ennahda official said on Monday. “We have accepted this result, and congratulate the winner,” party official Lotfi Zitoun said, referring to secular rival Nidaa Tounes.
