Turkish military says 3 soldiers killed in fit of rage on Syria border The Turkish military said in a statement on Tuesday that a soldier killed two comrades and then committed suicide in the border town of Ceylanpınar, denying news reports that the three soldiers were killed in an armed attack. The General Staff said in the statement posted online that a soldier ran amok while standing guard at his post early on Tuesday and committed suicide after killing two comrades. An investigation has been launched into the incident, the General Staff said. Initial media reports on the incident said the three Turkish soldiers were killed in an attack by unidentified gunmen. There were claims that the fire came from a village on the Syrian side.
