Turning Points Executive Directors statement on yesterdays tragedy. This story is appalling…as they all are. It is also an extreme reminder of all the red flags and the high risk of fatality following a separation. In this case, the key words are “ex-wife,” “custody dispute,” and the recent engagement of the victim. Power and control is demonstrated every step of the way as the alleged killer exerted power and control over a situation that left him feeling there was nothing left for him to lose and his determination to have the last word. While he had the last word in this, it was not the final word.
