Tuttomercato reports that Inter Milan are hoping to sign Tottenham midfielder Lewis Holtby when the transfer window reopens in January, having lost out to Spurs initially when the German international left Schalke last winter. Hotlby appears to be surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane with the club having spent money extensively on top players this summer, and Inter are hoping to swoop for the 22-year-old. Tottenham’s surplus players continue to be the subject of interest from lower division clubs with strikers Jonathan Obika and Harry Kane in demand at Brighton and QPR respectively according to reports in Argus and the Daily Mirror. Tottenham are all set to make a January bid for AC Milan forward Stephan El Shaarawy according to various media reports, by all accounts the young Italian international is not guaranteed a first team spot in Italy and thus the rumours that a move is on the cards. The speculation surrounding El Shaarawy first came to light last week and has been gaining momentum ever since.
