Twas the night before Christmas When all through the base Only staff duty was stirring And sergeant majors smirked face With everyone on holiday leave And much paperwork cleared Soldiers happily stroked their chins As they were proud of their beards Contrary to popular belief I enjoy this time of year Beneath this jaded exterior Ill spread the holiday cheer As I was having some fine ales In the safety of my pad Not able to take leave But rest assured I was not sad When all of a sudden I heard such a clatter I sprang from my drunken stupor To see what was the matter I opened the blinds Since I cant afford a sash To see baby mama drama Probably dealing with cash Some private that got married Straight out of boot To a chick from high school Clearly looking for loot So I say to ye, this I insist The military does have its times Though not enough For me to reenlist So nary you worry I shall be home next year Merry Christmas to all Now go have some beer.
