Twenty five years of flying all over the world, and this is the FIRST time I have missed a connection due to weather conditions primarily and then the captain informs us that due to the delay 2 passengers decided as they were boarding the plane that they changed their mind and would take an alternate flight. We then had to wait an hour for their luggage to be removed from cargo!!!! At the expense of 146 people missing their flight connections. Just be glad the two people will never be known to the other 146 passengers!!!!!! Now sitting in heathrow on a standby flight to Chicago at 5.15pm, if I get flight I then have an overnight stay in Chicago with connecting flight at 8.15am. Oh happy days 😝
