Twenty four hours late and a wallet much lighter, I begin my journey to Cape Town South Africa where I will gather with over 500 others from over 100 different nations to discuss and pray about how we can reach our lost military community. Serving and retired military men and women will pray, worship and learn ways to reach out to our military colleagues and their families. The only thought on my mind at this time is that we need your prayers. Will you pray that for God’s WILL to be evident to the leaders and delegates attending this conference and that a spirit of cooperation and sharing prevails. Pray that those arriving uncertain of God’s purpose for them leave knowing where God wants them to focus. Pray that people encounter God during the worship and prayer time such that it is different from what they have previously experienced and that it affects and inspires them to share when they return home. Pray that the delegates return home after the conference to their bases and communities that God has prepared for them ready to share His truth. Pray the military leaders of the counties represented are aware of the own delegates attending and seek them out on their return to hear about their experience. Pray for travelling mercies for both the trip to and from Capetown. Pray that the evil one is not allowed to slip in and mingle amongst the delegates causing doubt and uncertainty and outright confusion. Ask God to bless this conference.
