Twenty nine years ago today, Sue and I were married. It started out with a bump or two, not the least of which was the minister telling us on Tuesday he would be out of town for the wedding that Saturday. We had only known each other about 7 months, when Uncle Sam decided he needed me in Charleston and that put things on the fast track. I told her if we were going to do anything with the relationship we had better hurry. She wasnt all that sure either when I asked her to marry me, but we eventually agreed to go for it. In retrospect it is the best decision Ive ever made. We worked hard to meld two families and ended up adding two more to the group. I simply cannot imagine a life without her being in it.
