Twenty three years ago today, I stepped off a bus in Texas and got screamed at for the next six weeks. My time in the military took me around the world and back. Many of the places I ended up were impoverish nations ruled by warlords or tyrants. I experienced war on two continents and some of the people I left with did not return. For me, the military had its good times and its bad, but most importantly, it made me realize how fortunate I am to be an American. Lets take a minute to remember that, at this very minute, there are men and women putting themselves in harms way to ensure our way of of life. Keep them in your prayers. God bless America and all that are currently serving to protect her.
