Twice a year, first with my Mom, and now alone since my Mom has passed, in the Spring and Fall, I visit the cemetery where my parents and grandparents are laid to rest. In the Spring, I bring vases of silk flowers, and in the Fall, I retrieve them and store them for the Winter. Today, I experienced a first. All of the silk flowers were gone. Stolen? I really hope not. The pots remained. Two of them each had a sickly looking fern-type thing stuck in the middle. The other two were completely empty.........including the florists base material. I placed the pots in May. My brother visited in June and they were intact. Since then, who knows? Empty pots made the graves look neglected. I am angry, sad, and feeling violated. Is there anything lower than stealing from a grave site?
