Twin baby camels are extremely rare...We, Mongols, say that if you happen to see twin baby camels, you will be blessed with happiness... I saw once a newborn baby camel in travelling throughout Gobi desert, they are - truly - one of the cutest little thing on earth... Bactrian (two humped camels adapted to cold climate like Mongolia) camels give birth only once every two years, and the gestation period is extremely long (13 months),, so no wonder that they give birth every two years. The babies would suckle and stay with their mother until the next one comes out...oh, I love camels (Bactrian, of course)... they are such beautiful animals, not to mention that nice to photograph as well... I love also paintings with camels on them... there is something about these funny looking animals with beautiful soft clear eyes...
