Twister update. Hes making progress. I go in the bathroom, sit on the floor and talk to him in a calm and reassuring tone. I tell him how beautiful he is and how Im glad hes here.....and any dumb stuff I can think of. (Hes good at keeping secrets) I put out my hand slowly and let him sniff it. He came out of hiding and rubbed his head against my hand and let me pet him. Im letting him stay in the bathroom for a few more days until Im sure hes comfortable with me. I let Dewey go in the bathroom on and off to get Twister used to new cats. I havent tackled having him meet the dogs yet. One step at a time. He doesnt appear to be as scared as he was at first. Cat people will get this, I gave him the eye blink and he blinked back. Slow and steady. Ive got the patience to work with him. I wish I could be as good with people as I am with animals.
