Twisting the facts again L/NP. Our welfare system is the 4th cheapest in the world, both in terms of our GDP & population. We have an aging population, so its to be expected that disability pension claims will increase; not due to rorting, but due to age related disabilities. To qualify, a claimant must already submit multiple treating doctors reports, be assessed by a social worker and undertake a Work Capacity Assessment. So was the system faulty when it was established, when we were assessed, or when we were granted? How do you expect a single Dr to make a decision when some conditions take years to be assessed by independent specialists? This govt. has to go.
