Two Britons are set to compete this week to win one of the “best jobs in the world”, as part of the Tourism Australia competition. The duo have already beaten 599,982 other applicants in the race for six dream jobs in Australia. Now 18 finalists from around the world are preparing for a final series of challenges. The winners will be given a six-month employment contract, on a £61,000 salary. Tourism Australia, in partnership with six State and Territory tourism offices, wants people to follow in Southall’s footsteps by applying for one of six jobs: • Lifestyle photographer (Melbourne) • Chief funster (New South Wales) • Outback adventurer (Northern Territory) • Park ranger (Queensland) • Wildlife caretaker (South Australia) • Taste master (Western Australia) Twenty-six year old Jo Muskus, from Nairn, Scotland, is competing against two others to be a park ranger. In her video submitted as part of his application, Muskus, who is an ecology graduate, pretended to be Sir David Attenborough, and named the Loch Ness monster as her referee. The other Briton, Rich Keam, 34, is a musician and costume assistant and is competing for the role of “taste-master” said he would move his fiancée and four month old son to Perth, with a plan to get married in Australia if he won..
