Two More to Address NUL Community In advance let me put it to DC & ABC supporters for my views revolve around them, that Im not the kind of person complacent with mediocrity. If I may start; Is it because politicians are afraid to address accademics or they are not afraid, they just forget that they are not talking at their rallies? DC AND ABC have been here to us addressing, now the question is, what exactly have they said? Is it something worth writing home about? The purpose of the invitation to address NUL Community is explicit; Political Parties are expected to present their manifestos as well as (particularly) those policies relating specificaly to NUL. It is just that simple! Rules of the House A presenter is given 30 minutes to address the above question Ive indicated in the invitation. Now let us examine what DC and ABC did; DC were the first to address the NUL Community and one would have anticipated that the presenter Mr Moleleki would have directly addressed the question in lieu, this is what happened; The presenter, having been allocated 30 min(s), told us the history of NUL, which was relevent since we are to celebrate 70 years of the foundation of NUL, HOWEVER, The presenter dwelled too much on history that if we want to know, we can simply google and access it, until he was warned that he is left with 5 minutes. Now he then tried to address the question but the time was not on his side. Was it a strategic move to shun questions? You be the judge. Question time! Why did the students booe him? I want to believe that it has now become a common knowledge that the DC presenter dodged the questions and those he attempted, raised great dissatisfaction that caused disruptions. Finally, with all that the DC said it intends to do, the major question that it failed to address was, HOW WERE ALL THOSE GOING TO BE ACHIEVED? This a question you need to address especialy when you address academics and if there had been proper time management, this could have been largely achieved, e.g the presenter made mention of; - Reasonable Allowances (Do we have the resources?) - Restructure NMDS (How? What is the problem with it now?) - Develop Scholarships (How exactly?) ABC The presenter for ABC Mr Thabane recieved a warm welcome just like Mr Moleleki, although for Mokola ended in someway. He addressed the issue of history briefly but did he address the question on the invitation? The presenter made mention of LDF issues to an extent that he is guarded by foreign forces. (How do you intend to solve the security crisis if re-elected?) The presenter also made mention of the crisis in the Judiciary, making reference to the case betwix him and the DPP, (How will this crisis be solved?) The presenter made mention or a plea if I may put it, that politicians should stop politicking or associating the King with politics, rather, politic about infrastructure, education and water supply. What about policies towards NUL? Question Time; Why did the presenter wait to be asked about NUL issues during question time while he ought to have deliberated n that in the 30 min(s) As the PM, was he not aware of the security of students especially those living offcampus? We have had ka taba ea li streets lights and appolo lights that ALL this parties have promised all these years but none of them have fullfiled that! The issue of subvention fund, was he also not aware of it that it has dropped drastically? Also this is the question for LCD as it holds both the Ministry of Finance and Education. In Conclusion, none of the Presenters thus far has addressed what they were called here to do especially on the allocated time. Baetapele ba batla ho ntsoa puo hanong. Will LCD and BNP be any better? THAT THE DC AND ABC agreed to come to address us is indeed COMMENDABLE. BATHO HA BA ENTSE HANTLE KANNETE RE AMOHELENG. NB: TO THOSE OFFENDED BY THE POST, PARDON ME, PHOSO E TSAMAEA LE MOHATISI, also, mo ke ileng ka eba litseba, le tle le nthuse. Empa he, nete e buoe, kannete makobo-tata lere hlaphotse ka mino.
